Candid Cream 50 gm is primarily used to treat fungal infections of the skin such as athlete's foot, jock itch, ringworm and other fungal skin infections. This medication is also used to treat a skin condition known as pityriasis (flaking or scaling of the skin). Candid Cream 50 gm works by destroying the fungus that causes the infection. Candid Cream 50 gm destroys the infection by allowing the holes to open in the cell membrane and the components to leak out. This kills the fungus and cures the infection./Candid Cream 50 gm should be used for skin only and accidentally if it gets into your eye, mouth or nose rinse with water. Candid Cream 50 gm should be applied to the affected area with a piece of clean cotton wool or gauze swab. Candid Cream 50 gm should not be applied more than the recommended dose, to avoid unpleasant side effects. Some common side effects of Candid Cream 50 gm are burning, itching, redness, stinging and dryness on your skin in the place where Candid Cream 50 gm ointment is applied. Sensitive allergic reaction (skin hypersensitivity reactions) like rashes, itching, swelling, and hypotension can occur in rare cases. It is not known whether Candid Cream 50 gm harm baby or passes into breast milk in pregnancy and breastfeeding state. If nursing mothers are applying Candid Cream 50 gm to their breast or nipple, they should wash the affected area thoroughly before nursing their baby.
